Electric bikes at Canvas: free e-bikes for students

At Canvas we continue to add services to make living in a hall of residence easier from day one. That’s why electric bikes for students are now available at our halls of residence in Seville and Pamplona, thanks to an agreement with City Flow.

This service is designed for what really matters when you study away from home: convenience, saving time and sustainable mobility. And yes, the bikes can be used for €0 and without installing an app, you just need your mobile.

An “all-inclusive“ student hall of residence... Now including mobility

When you’re looking for an all-inclusive student hall of residence you usually think of low costs, comfort and carefree services. At Canvas we add a very practical extra: e-bikes in the hall of residence so you can get around the city quickly and easily.

Electric bikes are ideal for:

• Going to class, internships or to the library
• Moving between neighbourhoods without depending on timetables
• Running errands and getting back without wasting time
• Exploring the city without hassle

The electric bike is also an alternative that fits in with our commitment to sustainability as it helps to reduce the use of cars for short journeys.

Where to find electric bikes at Canvas

E-bikes are currently available at Canvas Student Seville Lago and Canvas Student Pamplona Plazaola. But they’ll soon be coming to Canvas Student Sabadell Llac.

How to book and unlock your electric bike (step by step)

The process is quick and from your mobile browser.

1) Scan the QR on the bike

Use the camera on your phone to scan the QR code that you’ll see on the bike.

2) Click "Book your Bikes" (no app needed)

After the QR, a screen will open in your browser. There’s no need to install any app.

If you were already using the bikes and had them locked during a break, press "Already have a booking" to unlock them again.

3) Enter PIN (for guests only)

As the bikes are free, the system asks for a PIN to ensure that they’re only used by residence guests.

The PIN is set by each hall of residence in the administration panel.

Operational recommendation: change PIN every 2 weeks.

4) Select your bike by name

Each bike has an identifying name (e.g. "Leire" or "Nico"). Select the one you’re going to use and press Next.

5) Add your guest details (24/7 support)

We ask for basic details so we can help you if you need anything.

In the interface you’ll always have the "Contact Us" button, which opens a chat with 24/7 support. The customer service number is also written on the bike itself.

6) Checkout: €0 and return at the same building

On checkout you’ll see:

• Price: €0
• Return: at the same building
• Return time: until 11 pm
• The first time, you’ll be asked to verify your card details.

How to lock and unlock your bike from your mobile

No need to touch the lock: it’s controlled from the screen.

• Open lock button: unlocks the bike
• Closed lock button: locks the bike

Next to the name of each bike, the system indicates whether it’s currently open or closed.

How to return the bike and end the rental ("Finish Ride")

For the service to work well for everyone, it’s important to return bikes properly:

• It must be returned to the hotel/hall of residence before midnight.

The display clearly shows the maximum time and you’ll also get WhatsApp reminders:

• 2 hours before
• 1 hour before
• 30 minutes before

Final step: "Finish Ride + return photo

To confirm the return and release the bike for the next guest:

Press “Finish Ride”

Upload a photo confirming that you’ve returned it at the hotel/hall of residence

The bike is correctly returned and available
