Housing in Frederiksberg

Canvas Student is for students aged 18–30 at move-in who are enrolled in a full-time educational programme. This includes university students, PhD students, apprentices, interns, international students, and students attending private educational institutions such as acting, arts, and specialist academies. If you have not yet started your studies, you must be able to provide documentation that you will begin a full-time educational programme within three months of moving in.

Contracts are open-ended. The lease includes a nine-month non-termination period from the start date, followed by a three-month notice period. This means that the minimum rental period is 12 months.

You may give notice during the non-termination period, but the tenancy cannot end until the nine-month non-termination period and the subsequent three-month notice period have expired.

If you give notice after the non-termination period has expired, the notice period is the running month plus three months.

You may stay as long as you maintain student status. After graduation, you have three months to move to alternative housing.

Canvas Student verifies student enrolment at move-in and at least once per year. Proof of enrolment must be provided when requested.

We have a minimum period of 12 months. As long as the minimum period is followed, we accept exchange students and interns.

Students who do not meet the age requirement may apply for studios with a private kitchen at Canvas Nordhavn or Canvas Frederiksberg.
