The university entrance exams are now a thing of the past. After weeks of nerves, early mornings and last-minute revision, you can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Relief felt by both students and parents, who we know are experiencing these days with the same intensity.
Now that the exams are over, it’s time to start looking forward to the most exciting phase ahead: the first year of university. And with that comes the big family logistics question: Where are you going to live next academic year?
To give you that final push and support you through these crucial days, at Canvas we’ve decided to take to the streets. Literally. During the exam period, we launched our bike billboards campaign: eye-catching mobile advertising displays mounted on bicycles that travelled through key areas with high student footfall across Spain.
The aim of the campaign was clear: to be there for you (and your families) at the very time when interest in university accommodation is at its peak, reminding you that at Canvas Student we have the perfect space to make your university experience a success.

Our road trip: from north to south
Our bike billboards were constantly in use. To ensure we reached as many prospective university students as possible, we mapped out a strategic tour of some of the country’s leading campuses:
- Tuesday 2 June: we got off to a flying start, covering the north at the Gipuzkoa Campus in San Sebastián (Schools of Law and Economics and Business), and the south in the province of Cádiz, visiting both the capital (Medicine and Arts) and the Jerez de la Frontera Campus (UCA).
- Wednesday 3 June: we split up to ride around the Cáceres University Campus (Law, Arts and Humanities, Economics and the Polytechnic School), the University of La Rioja Campus in Logroño and the Espinardo Campus in Murcia (North Lecture Theatre and School of Economics and Business).
- Thursday 4 June: we continued to support students at the Viriato Campus in Zamora (Polytechnic School and School of Education) and at the University of Alicante Campus (Science, Law and Economics).
- Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 June: we wrapped up this fantastic tour by visiting students at the Lleida and Tarragona campuses. We visited the Cappont Campus at the University of Lleida and its various schools, as well as the Catalunya Campus and the Sescelades Campus at the Rovira i Virgili University (URV).

Exams are over: why you should book your accommodation in June
Now that you’ve put your books away, it’s time to make some decisions. And doing it now makes a huge difference. Booking your university accommodation in advance has undeniable advantages:
- Secure your place before they all go: the best rooms are always the first to fly. Arranging your accommodation now will guarantee that you get the right space for you (rather than having to settle for whatever’s left).
- Get better rates: arranging your accommodation early will allow you to take advantage of the best prices before the big boom in demand in July.
- Avoid last-minute stress: spare yourself the hassle of scrambling to find accommodation in the middle of summer, when you should really be relaxing on the beach after a year of hard work.
- Stress-free family visits: by planning ahead, you can organise a trip with your parents to take a tour of your chosen residence, see the Canvas Student facilities in person, and put your minds at ease before you go on holiday.
